Thought I'd pop in, introduce myself.
I'm Kev, a newbie pin collector/trader from the Essex/Hertfordshire area of the UK.
I got the pin bug back in October/November of last year, on my first trip to the States to Orlando and the WDW parks.
I saw all these people wearing these strange blue lanyards, lol, so I thought I'd find our some more about it, ended up getting involved, also my holiday companions, who ended up running around everywhere looking for different lanyard pins for me.
I came back hooked, with a small but steadily growing collection of pins, all shapes and sizes.
I now have just over 60 pins and have recently returned from Disney Paris where the pin trading wasn't (or didn't appear to be) quite as rife as in Florida.
I'm looking forward to my next visit to Disney, which I hope will be later this year, so I can enjoy the atmosphere that surrounds this interesting hobby.
If there are any Brits on here who collect (hiding somewhere I'm sure) and are interested in establishing a UK site for British collectors, I would be interested in hearing from you.
Also I've recently heard mention of a Pin meeting over here in Cheshunt Hertfordshire, (on the Disney Pincast) shame I missed it, if anyone knows of any future ones planned in England I'd be more than interested.
My regards and respects to all. Kev

I believe that several of the British Ohana arrange pin meets and I'm sure that you'd be welcome to attend - as
Stephanie suggested, check out the Gatherings boards and find out when and where they are.
