Well, I decided to post some pictures of my personal method of displaying pins...The banner! I made this banner myself, and it was pretty simple to do if you're handy with a sewing machine. As someone who began collecting just over a year ago, I wanted to have a place I could look at my pins and arrange them in different ways. I bought some blue fabric with silver stars (which I thought was very Disney-ish), a large dowel rod painted silver, and some silver nylon cord and tassles. The banner is about 2 feet wide and 3 feet long. If you end up making one for yourself, I stress putting a strengthening fabric in between the seams, otherwise, the pins could rip through the fabric. The finished product is below...
But of course, that wasn't the end of my collecting! Here's a current look at the same banner, with a few extra pins...
It's a little cluttered, but it looks fantastic on my wall. Note that I had to put two screws into the wall to support the weight; the fabric was
beginning to wrinkle slightly. For my next banner, I'll probably have two separate cords to support its weight.
This summer, I plan to make another banner this size out of a spooky-themed fabric for my NBC and HM pins.
I also plan on making a mini-banner for my Christmas and PotC pins.
When I do make them, I'll try to take some step-by-step pictures! Hope you like the banner!
