I know that I have talked with ShellKervel, as I'm sure a TON of folks have, regarding backgrounds and where to get them. Well, I googled and googled and
googled, and yeah, I found lots I'm going to use. But I also found a neat little tidbit with some software that came on my computer. Turns out, if you
have PowerDVD for viewing dvds on your computer, you can take screen captures from the dvd, and at a decent to good quality. Took some various screen grabs
from a few different movies this afternoon, a few minor touchups in photoshop (cause thats just the way I am), and they turned out well, even at an 8x10 size.
PowerDVD is not the only software to be able to do it, its just what I already had. You can do yet another google and find the software you can use and
probably how to do it. Have fun!

What a brilliant idea! I downloaded the program today and captured a bunch from 101 Dalmatians. I'll be posting a frame soon!

Wow - thanks for the post! I had been scouring the internet for a good screen capture program. I found a great easy-to-use one that had a free trial, but it
puts a watermark over the pic until you buy a version for $39.99. I was just getting ready to buy it, and then I saw your post. I wasn't sure if I had the
Power DVD program already or not, and sure enough, I do!! I just did a test grab, and it works great!!! Thanks a bunch!

First, let me say 'Hi' and 'Welcome to Dizpins!'
What a neat idea - I can't wait to see how it looks when it's used with pins to create frames! Stefanie

Did the Power DVD come with your computer? How old is your computer? Mine is about 3 years old. I do have a dvd burner installed on it. Just not sure about
this program. But I would love to be able to grab some of those pictures. That one was beautiful!!

Mine came with the computer, and my computer is also about 3 years old. The other program I found on the internet was called HyperSnap. The trial version was
very easy to use, and it looks like it even has an image editing software - kind of a bare-bones Photoshop kind of thing. If you don't have Power DVD, and
you can't get it cheap or free, you can try HyperSnap for free or buy it at:
