I traded for three disney princess tea cup pins at Disneyland a few months ago all on different cast lanyards and I thought they were so pretty I really want to collect the whole series but now I'm sooo suspicious of any pins I see. I already have Snow White, Aurora and Cinderella so I need Belle, Ariel and Jasmine. Today I was at Disneyland and I found Belle on a cast lanyard so I asked if I could look at it before I traded it and the cast member took it off her lanyard so I could look at the back. I compared it with the other ones I have and the color just didn't seem to "go" with the other three pins. When I look a the other pins the backgrounds are very light creamy pastel colors but the Belle pin had kind of a harsh lemony yellow color. On top of that the placement of the "disney china" stamp on the back was different so I thought it must be a fake. I said no thank you I don't want that pin and walked away. I looked it up on pinpics http://www.pinpics.com/cg...&sid=8462.1277890951 and now I'm thinking that the color was right compared to the picture. So, that's got me questioning the three pins I already have!!?? Ugh I'm so frustrated because I love these pins but I want real ones! Does anyone have any pictures they can post of a side by side comparison of the fake ones vs the real ones or anything to look out for? I know that these are known scrapper pins. Thank you so much in advance.
PS: I'm local to Anaheim and would love to get in touch with someone who is really good at identifying fake pins so I can become an expert! Trading off of lanyards is what makes it fun for me but I can tell that I'm going to need to be very savvy!
