We just got off the first 11 day cruise. Rest up before you go because you will not get any rest on this cruise with seven ports plus Barcelona. We did not do very many Disney excursions but know others that did. We went into Rome on the train and subway on our own (about an hour train ride each way and the station was close to the port) and managed to see the Vatican (Sistine Chapel, Museum and St Peter's Basilica) (spent about 3 hours), Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, the Coliseum and the Mask. We left the ship around 7 AM and got back around 8:30 PM just in time for dinner on the ship.

We did a Disney excursion in Florence - Florence on your own. Disney bused us to Florence which was a long bus ride and then we were on our own for about 5 hours. This worked out well for us. If you want to go to the museums I recommend buying your tickets before you leave so you do not have to wait in lines, especially to see David. You will save yourself 1 to 2 hours of waiting in a line.

In Naples, my husband did the Mt. Vesuvius Hike and Pompeii excursion with Disney and really enjoyed it. Friends did the Amalfi Coast excursion and enjoyed it. When we were in Villefranche we took the train on our own to Nice and Monte Carlo. The train station is within walking distance. We especially enjoyed the tour of the palace in Monte Carlo and experiencing the town.

There is a local tour via a train like tram in Marseille that our friends enjoyed. I do not recall the price but it was reasonable.

There are so many excursions to choose from or you can experiment on your own like we did. Have fun!

They did not sell any limited edition pins on our cruise so if you are going and are willing to pick up some extras I would be happy to trade or buy them from you. They are selling them on all the other cruises.

I did not do much trading on lanyards but if you are interested in WDW lanyard pins then you should be happy. You would occasionally find a DVC Stitch pin as DVC was giving them out during the cruise and DLR lanyard pins showed up once in a while (there must have been a CA trader putting them on lanyards). Make sure you go to the officer pin trading (it is once during the cruise - watch for it on the navigator) as they are stocked with cast lanyard (or hidden mickey) pins.

Oh, on the day we were leaving the ship we walked by the store and they had stocked the pins and the Limited edition pins were on the racks so there are LE pins but I do not know which ones.
