There are, of course, many other boards on Dizpins besides Discussion Forum, Cafe and Coffee Shop, etc!! SOOOOOO..... I'd like to open this post, so that longer time members can talk about some of the benefits of the other boards, and what you can do there. (I see several of our newer friends have found the Just for Fun board already!) PLEASE!!! Questions are WELCOME!!! SO oldie's are invited to pick a board and tell us about it!!!! The first thing we do is run WWTP threads. These are "reverse trade" threads. If you see a pin you like in the bottom post, you can claim it and offer up some pins you have that fit the theme. Then someone picks one of your pins and so on... Any of the threads titled "WWTP -- ....." will give you more details about the exact rules. There is also a guidlines thread at the top. You also can find contests run by other dizpins members. Usually there are pins or other Disney items to win! The final thing that you might see on the board is pin swaps. Each pin swap runs on it's own individual rules, but basically you get assigned another person to send a pin to. Someone else is assigned to send a pin to you. Everyone gets a surprise and it's a lot of fun! WWTP games are a great way to swap out some of your traders and to gain references on dizpins without any really complicated trading. It's name says it all. Its a place to play games and act silly. We play Murder Mysteries (role playing type game). These can be fun to play, and almost as fun to just read along. If you ever miss a sign-up and still want to play, you can sign up as a VIP guest so you can play without having any real effect (except for shared fun) on the game. Various members make Pin Puzzles. These can be fun and frustrating at the same time. They are made up of litte pieces of the pictures of pins from pinpics. Your job is to figure out which pins. Don't blame us if your eyes hurt!! Other games we play include: Hangman; Sing-A-Longs; Continue the Story; and anything else we can think up. Come on over and play!! Anyone can start a game!!! Look forward to playing with you . .. The Gallery Board is a place where members can show off the many ways they show off their pins! There are plenty of great examples of frames and shadowboxes and other displays full of pins. The Sale Board is where you buy and sell pins. This is also where you can find coops for sets (usually Disney Auctions, sometimes boxes or frames) and you might save a few dollars. The Trade Board is where you can trade pins. The Test Board is where you can test posts. It's the perfect place to see if your signature is working or try out using poll functions or whatever. It is used to transport polls that have circulated for a week or so and are pretty much finished, games that are complete, or topics that need no more discussion. It is used by the moderators to kind of "clean house". Sometimes I like to visit this board to remind myself of some polls that I may have been interested in. Best wishes, Carol in Indy
