Getting some more free time now, we've been able to "dream" up another frame set before we head to WDW in 10 days. Yay! In this frame set we
get to have a glimpse of what Minnie is dreaming about: becoming a Disney Princess of course...or Tinker Bell. This frame was definitely a family affair to get
it finished.
We bought a light blue matting board and had our dad cut out many little circles for cloud shapes. Afterwards, we asked our mom to paint swirly white paint and
then irridescent glitter paint around the edges of all the cloud shapes. (Sorry, glitter would not show up in pictures...but it's really shiny and pretty
in person!
)
Then we went through the Disney movies of each princess represented and picked out a scene for each of them that seemed to fit the pins. After croppering,
tweaking, and piecing some of the scenes to get rid of any charcters in the frame by frame movie shots, we printed them out on glossy photo paper and placed
them behind the cloud-shaped openings.
Finally for the bottom of the frame we printed out the sleeping Minnie image (from our Disney Print Studio program) on cardstock, cut it out, and used
double-sided tape to stick it to the matting board. Then we recruited our mom, with her great painting skills, to paint the "Believe In Your Dreams"
logo for the frame.
Additionally, this frame starts a new special effect incorporated in our framing: Sound! We took a sound chip from a sound birthday card that one of us
received (thanks DLRPinTrader92), fixed it to the back of the frame, and rigged it to play with the pull of a small tab on the side of the frame. Iconically,
the birthday card was a Disney Princess theme and the song was: "Every Girl Can Be A Princess" by Susan Egan. Literally, the lyrics are "Every
girl can be a princess. Any dream can be. Close your eyes and see a magic wand and soon you've gone from just you to royalty." LOL Too perfect not to
be somehow put into this frame! We have tons of different sound devices lying around the house from different things, so we can't wait to make another
frame that would match a particular sound or song we have and do this again!
We hope you've enjoyed! ![]()
