Disney announced the new "Diamond" edition blu ray DVD series and the first movie to come out is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It's now on
pre-sale at amazon.com. Look carefully at this picture to see a pin set included with the movie. It's a rather pricey collection at $149.99 but it does
look quite nice.

I kind of doubt if they will do this kind of packaging for the regular DVD release. Disney wants everyone to upgrade to Blu Ray.

As bluray players are not region free and I dont want to uncode my playstation 3...just going to have to wait to see if they bring it out in the UK. Prob wont

Im kinda in the same boat, I just a load of Disney dvds as they were BOGOF....but blurays are so tempting and....well...I love bluray lol Pre-orded Bolt on
bluray. Thats going to be pretty.

I'm just about done with BluRay. I was an early adopter and probably have 30 or so discs, but am so disappointed with the lack of price drop in software
and so pleased with the quality of regular DVDs played back on BluRay players, I don't intend to do any more BluRays. At this point they should be as cheap
as DVDs. Yet Ishtar is $30 at Best Buy. Come on.
It's just going to hasten the end of the media era and welcome in the era of downloads. |
