How long to wait for pins |
Lead | |
|
On May 28 another trader and I agreed to a 2 pin trade. I sent two which they have received. They sent two which I have not received. This was an across the
border trade to Canada so it is possible customs has held things up coming this way but I honestly don't know. The trader has stayed in touch and offered
to send my pins back or send me two other pins. When do we give up on their pins arriving?

I'd give it until after the July 4th holiday and if they still haven't arrived then work something out with the trader. I've got the same problem
with a simple envelope right now and it was only going across town so international shipments could encounter all sorts of hang ups. Hope they arrive soon!

Thanks. This wasn't a heavy duty trade but I'd like to wrap it up. I might just let it sit for a while.

Earlier this month I sent a PoH pin to my PinPal up in Alberta (from the Los Angeles area) and it took 8
days to get there.
The pins I send in the US usually take 2 or 3 days at the most. Unless you mess up on the zip code, and it takes 2 weeks to come back to you and another 3 days to ship it correctly - don't ask me how I know this.................
Repeat after me, "I don't need every pin, I don't need every pin, I don't need every pin."
Why is that so hard to remember? Holy Grail Must Have's ![]()

Plus the other trader is staying in touch. Always a very good sign!

I'm having the opposite problem. Someone contacted me through AIM and we arranged a trade. I received their pin and forgot to add delivery confirmation(for
once) on her package. Now three weeks later this person is claiming that they haven't received it. I've gotten bad vibes from the beginning, but I
guess it's my fault for not adding delivery confirmation! I told her to wait another week and if she still says it hasn't arrived, I"ll send her
pin back. Teaches me to always use delivery confirmation, especially trading with someone with very few references and who I don't know!!

I think the whole post is going up the wall at the moment. I have just waited the longest so far for a pin parcel from the US to come to me in England, it was
around a month. I think sometimes you just to hold on for a tiny bit longer and it may turn up.

I live in TN and for some reason one person on this boards when I trade with them in CA it takes at least a month. The post mark is right and sent on time, but
it take for ever for their PO. One time it took 3 months. I think the pins like to take the scenic route and drive over.
At least they are communicating. steph ![]() ![]() ![]() |
