DLR UPDATE!!!! IF YOU WANT TOMORROWS PINS YOU MIGHT BE TOO LATE!!!!! |

This is absolute pinsanity. What is Disney thinking, selling a pin like this, a highly desirable LE 250, 2 pins per person??? I thought it should have been 1
pin per person, with the edition size being that low, but the powers that be obviously disagreed. IMO, they could have made this pin an LE 500 or LE 750 and it
likely would sell out, the design is that fantastic.

Ever since I've started collecting (circa 2000), the Disney rule has been limit two on LE pins. One to keep and one to trade. During this time I've also seen this "rule" strictly adhered to, not followed and abused by many a trader. |

For the pinbassador pins coming out 07/26/09 they changed it from two to one per person and those are LE 500 and LE 250. There was one other in the past where they limited it to one per person but I can't remember which release it was. In my opinion, for such low LE's, they should limited it to one pin per person. MANY times they have changed the limit from 2 to one... even on LE 500's. I personally like the 2 per person because it goes along with the trading
concept. If you have a good trading friend you can even switch off covering the releases which I have done. Although in this case I do think it would be
appropriate to have it be one per person because of the HUGE interest. With it being an "event" weekend there are lots of out of towner's here.
I'd like to see more of them have a chance at the pins. I agree with the "What were they thinking" on the 250 LE. Although with the economy
I guess they are thinking people won't be able to afford everything!! I just wish they would decide ahead of time and be more consistent so people
know what policy is and can plan accordingly. I am not doing today's release because its fathers day, my daughter is home from college for the weekend.
I just couldn't spend anymore time in line this weekend. Friday nights registration took a couple hours to get thru..and I did not even go into the event
store!! Yikes! I would suggest to just enjoy what you ARE able to buy and not fret over what you can't. If you like this haunted mansion merchandise
there is so much to enjoy. Let's focus on what we do get and not what we don't! Don't worry, be happy! LOL!!

Just got a text from Rudy. They got there at 4:20 and were in the last 10 people to get the pins because they WERE 2 per person! Wow! I am surprised that they
would only let 125 people buy the pins. I understand what Teri is saying about the whole aspect of 2 per person to promote trading. But I would prefer 250
people allowed to buy the pin. Whatever. I didn't want to get up early and stand in another line for a $70 pin. So, yay to the people who did :-)

Alright all I will say right now is WHAT A FIASCO!!! This release was one of the worst in recent memory in terms of communication and product. It has been one
of the most frustrating 14 hours of my life! (yes since 6pm yeserday, with dozens of others.)
The jumbo $70 pin was knocked down to a "slap in the face price" of $60, after a major defect in the pin was discovered. None of the inside door flaps were etched with the bride or hat box ghost. It has been such a disappointing day, and I will give a full report later (after I sleep a bit). Fight On Disney fans!!

That jumbo was quite a disappointment but as long as I keep it closed I will remain happy

Well I'm back from the park.
I got in line about 6 a.m. and was about 150th by Disney's count, so went for second chances. Got in line at noon, was eighth in line and everything was still available, so I got my pet cemetery set. I will be very interested to hear when the items released today actually sell out. I hope Disney Events sits down tomorrow and rethinks a few things, like purchasing limits. Otherwise they will be facing a lot of campouts and a lot of expense having CM's to watch over large crowds at 1 a..m. because everyone's scared of not getting the pin.

The pins are very nice. The jumbo is a lovely pin even without the bride or hat box ghost etched inside. We are also happy eith the pet cemtary and Raven boxed
pins. very nice. It went quite well. a very long long camp out but well worth it. We had fun with some new and old friends too. See you on Thursday!

Does anyone know if the pet cemetery sold out? My mom and I was going, but it was going to be the 3rd morning in a row so we decided not to come. Now I wish we
went later to see if there were any left over.
