Are there certain places where you have to go at a certain time? Like at DTD in WDW in the Jewelery section of World of Disney when they have a cast member with a binder, and they are there for about 30 minutes, and they use a pack of playing cards to figure out what order you go in. Anything like that? And are the trading tables at DTD back yet? Any trading boards, or anywhere that just usually generally has a little bigger & better selection than a typical CMs lanyard? Any other time saving tips on finding some good trades would be great, I know it will still take a lot of time, patience, a sharp eye, and a bit of luck, but any tips / advice on trading at DL would be appreciated! -Mark

Dizpins Ohana Member Posts: 3 (05/16/09 07:16 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Last time I was at Disneyland in mid-March I found that Cast Members inside the Star Trader (Next to Honey, I Shrunk the Audience in Tomorrowland) usually have a pretty big selection of pins. Also, most of them have the shoulder strap with the little square of pins instead of the lanyard which typically has more pins on it. Also, people working at the Disney Vacation Club booths scattered throughout the park usually have some good ones. People probably don't go up to them as much, so they have pins that other Cast Members don't. Off the top of my head I know there's a Disney Vacation Club booth near Coke Corner (On Main Street) in Disneyland and another near the Off the Page store in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot in California Adventure. Another good place last time was at the Tiki Juice Bar (Dole Whip stand) in Adventureland at the entrance to the Enchanted Tiki Room. That's another one that people don't trade with as often so they have a pretty good selection. There are also Non-Cast Member traders near the entrance to Frontierland if you're coming in from the Hub. As far as I know it's only Non-Cast Member traders that have binders. I think they start at about 2 pm. This is also where you can find the traders with there goods as well. No pin boards at all. And I found a little bit of info on this: "Come Out and Trade" program, but some info was from 2004, I think one page I was looking at was from a few months ago, hopefully the info is still valid, and I think the Westward Ho one is the one Tiki mentioned. So can anyone confirm that CM trading (pin books) is still going at at the locations, times, and days of the week mentioned here? Dizpins Ohana Member Posts: 42 (05/18/09 09:03 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Sometimes, there's a cast member (or two) win pins outside the Finding Nemo ride (I got a really great rack-pin [Stormtrooper eating Mickey Mouse ice cream saying "Get a Taste of the Dark Side"] from him there). Also, sometimes in the hat store in Tomorrowland (near the terrace). Plus, throughout the clothing stores off Main Street, as well as a few stores near Pirates of the Caribbean (where it lets out in the French Market / New Orleans Square area). Are you also going to California Adventure? There are usually 3-5 cast members in the store on the left as you enter CA that have lanyards, plus around Boudin Factory/Bakery and the Tortilla Factory (near the pier area). One time, last week, I came across one, and then all the cast members came up, that had the new silhouette pins (some even had them in the original bags!)

So I'll those to my 'places to look for pins' list/map. And the Disney hotels too, gotta check those, had some good finds at WDW last year, and also noticed that Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge (I think thats where it was) had a lot of Disney Vacation Club gear, like t-shirts, hats, keychains, luggage tags, etc. Pretty cool, you can go in the gift shop, drop $20 on some DVC stuff, and walk out looking like you just 'invested' thousands in joining the DVC. I'm always on the lookout for stuff like that too! Thanks for all the tips/info so far, I appreciate it!
