ComicCon is a blast! I've been there many times as an assistant for a friend who was a guest signer. Enjoy the show...wish I could have made it this year!

I have been going since 1985! This year we'll be there just for Fri. But we won't have any time for pin trading. And I'm not hauling my pins there.
Sorry. The big hall and maybe a few programs will take up our whole day! Have fun!

first time I ever went as an assistant was back in 2001/2002 and not only did I love it, I fell in love with San Diego.

There are actually a ton of Disney and ABC events happening at the con this year - from panels by Disney animation story artists to presentations on Bolt and
Up to panels on Lost and other ABC and ABC family shows. I think on Sunday they're showing a special screening of "The Little Mermaid III: Ariel's
Beginning".
I'm hoping I can get to SOMETHING Disney while I'm there - but there's so much to do and you really need to clone yourself to see everything!

yes the entire event is sold out but thats because they sold less tickets this year. it makes sense that this year theres going to be a lot of animation panels
this year after all the theme is cartooning. funnies on parade if i recall correctly

Just wondering what time people usually get to the Convention Center. It looks like we are leaving Anaheim around 6 in the morning. We are planning to park at
Qualcomm and take the trolley in. Are we leaving too early (or late)?

Back from Comic-Con - it was craziness and chaos and fun as usual... once I finally got there! There was a huge freeway accident along the way that closed all
but one lane of the highway and added an extra 3 1/2 hours to the drive
 which meant parking was also that much harder to find (finally found some about a
mile and a half away from the convention center). So I didn't actually arrive at the convention center until four hours later than I'd planned.
Sigh.
But I still managed to see most of the two panels I wanted, got into both autograph lines I wanted, and picked up some good swag in the dealers room and fortunately only normal traffic on the way home. I'm exhausted, but basically satisfied from what I managed to accomplish during the shortened day.

Oh man the traffic yesterday was crazy due to the accident on the 5. It took us 5 hours to get there from Anaheim. It was a very overwhelming day. But the fun
continues for us on Sunday.
If you didn't hear, at the Race to Witch Mountain (starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Carla Gugino) program they showed the first teaser trailer to TR2N (Tron 2). Unfortunately I was in a different program but I heard it was awesome.

I heard a rumor on another site, that they mentioned something about something at the Bolt/Up panel. They are speculating that it may be the TR2N preview.
