This weekend we attended the NFFC event at the Crowne Plaza. Anyway, while I was standing in line for WDI, my wife was going nuts elsewhere. While at the
Walt Disney Studios (Burbank) table she picked up a few of these pins http://www.pinpics.com/cgi-bin/pin.cgi?pin=53601&sid=3149.1216771731.v2.
So later on, I'm looking at what she bought and I see that one of those pins was an error pin. The text was correct but the image of Walt is upside down.
Needless to say we went back to see if there were more like it and the all the remaining pins were as the should be.

Anyway, what is something like this worth? Should I just put it away and kinda forget about it? How common are error pins?

That is not an error pin, but rather a manufacturing goof. An error pin is a pin in which the entire run or the majority of the run has an error on it, such as a misspelled word, etc. These manufacturing goofs are common when pins are 3D and may be glued on upside down, etc. As far as value, some people do collect these "goof" pins.

The pin really wouldn't be worth much unless you found the right person...if you think of how many thousands of pins disney makes, especially of how manyh
they make of one pin like yours, little goofs like this are bound to happen. If you find someone who collects those types of pins they may want it just to add
to their collection, but generally speaking...it would be worth any more than the regular one

A good place to start figuring out the 'value' of a pin is to look at the wants/trades ratio. The pin you posted has far more people trading than
wanting. I display my pin collection so, for me, having such a glaring error would cause my blood pressure to rise every time I saw it
. Therefore I would not want it.
