Pinpics trade requests |
Lead | |
|
Hi, can anyone tell me what is the proper thing to do when you are away on vacation and come back to a ton of trade requests? I'm not really sure what I
should do. If a request is a week old, do you still answer or just delete? Is there a way to turn off requests coming your way if you know you won't be
able to review? Thanks for your help!!! Terry O diznycrazed

When I go away, I simply turn my TA off. So people that are sending out TA's can't send them to me, and they aren't 'waiting' for a
response.

Thank you I actually didn't know you could do that. I've only been trading on pinpics for about 2 months and have never actually used the trade
assistant function. I will be checking that out right away. Thanks again!

From the PinPics Help / FAQ:
http://www.pinpics.com/faq.php?cat=2#t17 I do not want to trade for awhile. Can I turn off my Trade Assistant?Yes, if you go to the My PinPics section and then click on edit my trades and wants and collection just before you get to the pins you will see a box next to the sentence: Do NOT include me in the automated Trade Assistant. Check that box and then save your changes. When you are ready to trade again simply come back to the same page and uncheck the box.(Make sure you are logged in first. :-) Hope this helps, Bob

I wouldn't reply to the ones you aren't interested in unless they were received in the last day or two. The older ones the sender should have assumed by now you aren't interested which is the case. I use gmail and I set up auto reply to say that I will be back soon and reply at that time. I normally camp for 2 or 3 weeks in the summer, so it's
invaluable: I've actually gotten two good trades that way, and the other traders don't seem to mind.
