Actually I was thinking of Pin 27545: Disney Auctions (P.I.N.S.) - Tinker Bell Frontierland
The pin is a variation of Tinker Bell's appearance in the original Disney's World black and white television show. In the opening she also gets to play a cowgirl and does an Annie Oakley quickdraw impersonation apparently shooting up a quarter as well as an Indian dance Pin 27544: Disney Auctions (P.I.N.S.) - Tinker Bell Dance . But I figured the frontier trader look would work better. |

one small correction | ||

I never could get that old original title right. But I did manage to find a YouTube referent to the opening video form way back then (link) and just a little fun between Walt and one of his favorite characters (do mind the pixie dust)

Sorry for the lag in responding but was away this weekend.
There might be some confusion about the library location - to use the main branch of the Seattle Public Library, the cost is rather high (hundreds+) as well as having to provide a insurance rider, etc., etc. However, to use a private room at a BRANCH of the libary, it is available for free but as mentioned in my last email, this is providing there is absolutely no selling or buying going on and providing we don't exceed the maximum capacity which is 59. There is still a contract involved so it should only be reserved if we're sure we want to use it. So, the only concerns with this location is keeping it under 59 - this would require us to either have reservations or work on a first come, first served basis and having a door monitor to ensure we don't exceed the limit and get asked to leave. I'd be happy to see if it's still available and complete the contract if this is for sure........ |

Thanks for the info littlekiddle. If it is not the main branch of the library that sounds to me like I may have to take my car. In that case I'd rather
go to Lynnwood.
I don't know how many people we might be expecting. Like I said in the earlier post I am more interested in meeting my fellow dizpins members than anything. I don't have a lot of pins for trade right now anyways. I'll be visiting more than trading.
Ya know, this home economics film really took a weird turn somewhere along the line.

I think I echo the sentiments of Melonballer on both accounts.
I was thinking the main library all the way - so if that is not an option, I think Lynnwood would be the better way to go. I don't have a lot of pins to trade as well - but I'll bring what I've got, and would really llke to meet everyone. -Tim |

Hey Guys!
Is that Alderwood or Lynnwood? Either way, are we in agreement: July 12th, 1:30pm, Mall (Lynnwood or Alderwood)? Are we liking our proposed moniker: Northwest Pin Trading Post? Dyma dyma@guntoys.com PS; Whether its 5 or 20, I am really excited about meeting all of you!

Northwest Pin Trading Post Logo Suggestions
|
JKrolak has suggested:
Disney Auctions P.I.N.S. Tinker Bell Dance: http://www.pinpics.com/cgi-bin/pin.cgi?pin=27544 and Tim, Goofy32465 has suggested: Wild West Collection, Tinker Bell: http://www.pinpics.com/cgi-bin/pin.cgi?pin=54630 Any opinions or additions? It's a tough choice - both are cute! Dyma dyma@guntoys.com

Actually I was leaning more towards Pin 27545 as it fits more with the frontier (fur) pin
trading post image.
If we're looking for a masthead image, have any of the Disney characters appeared in a Lewis & Clark style frontier fort or Royal Canadian Mounted Police uniform? I think there was one of the Beast in the distinctive Red coat and that could also fit the theme. |

NWPTP Logo Suggestions

Actually, that Tink may work better for a logo - more clean, less busy than the Wild West one. I agree with the Lewis & Clark-type theme idea for the
Northwest..
You're presenting some excellent ideas. Thank you Dyma dyma@guntoys.com BTW, What's yur name?

OUt of the 3 I like 27545 the best by far. Its the best looking of the 3 and it fits a northwest theme the best. it gets my vote.

Hey Guys!
As we are liking pin #27545 for a logo, lets use it! Who knows how to build logos?? Or should I go bug Kash? Alderwood Mall Recap: July 12th, Saturday, 1:30pm - are we in agreement? What central location shall we all meet at? I'll be the vertically-challenged-curly-haired-burnett-with-attitude-wearing-a-pin-lanyard

The food court faces the theaters and outside the foodcourt doors is a Starbucks and a Jamba Juice. Perhaps in that area? Anything is fine with us.
I had one thought, though, there was a different starting thread topic about meeting in Seattle and on that thread, there were quite afew people interested but I haven't seen many show up on this thread and would like them to know about this ~ but.... I'm not very handy with technology to see if there is way to merge the threads or would it be easier to just contact them individually by hand? |

Melonballer |

Best thing to so is contact them via PM. Hopefully they have all seen this thread and have just had nothing to add. Meeting by the Starbucks and Jamba Juice
sounds like a good idea. We can find a set up place after ward.
