In talking with a secret source in regards to the Decoder Lanyard and the Pirate's Lair map, this person revealed to me a nice big secret about the Pin
Odyssey that they said I may share with everyone here:

They said that the Decoder can be used to read not only the corners of the Pirate's Lair map, BUT, there are going to be 8 Surprise pins in the Pin Odyssey Collection. In addition to that, but the Decoder lanyard can be used to reveal an image on the back of the surprise pin card. When all 8 cards are put together, they will form a picture that will reveal a huge hint as to next year's Disneyland Summer Pin Event!!
They really put alot of work into this and I love the idea. Just thought I would spread this great news as it excited me so much.
