Love Pins! Love Disney! What is you favorite magical moments dealing with pins and/or pin trading? Some traders treat our hobby like a business. You'd think they were trading stocks and bonds. So serious. So picky. So one-sided. So sad!!! Often times I'll take a book of traders and trade exclusively with children or tourists just learning about pins. (you can tell). Seeing the joy and excitement, when you trade with them, is very rewarding! What is your favorite pin? 2280: World Showcase Millennium Banner Mystery #2. If you won the lottery today, how would you spend it? Sell our house and move closer to WDW. Help out our families and closet friends. Invest, travel and have loads of stress-free fun! At one of the original Contemporary pin meets one of the cast members in the children's place gave me my first CTT. What is your favorite pin? Each pin helps keep the magic going for me. I've even gotten my daughter hooked though she gets better pins from the CM kid lanyards. Getting Year of a Million Dreams pins from the Dream Squad while bleary-eyed at some god-forsaken time of the morning on Buzz Lightyear's Ranger Spin. My daughter was scared in the Haunted Mansion and one of the CMs gave her those Tinkerbell award pins. She got another set of these pins when we were made 'Citizens of WDW' at the Animal Kingdom. I had no idea pin trading even existed until my 2006 vacation since I hadn't been to Disney World since 1995 and I got hooked on it immediately. Plus I had been a Figment fan/collector since my first trip as a little girl in 1989 so adding Figment pins to the mix seemed a natural progression. I continue the hobby because it's always changing and there's always something new to look forward to! What is you favorite magical moments dealing with pins and/or pin trading? Meeting great new people What is your favorite pin? My Four Parks Epcot Super Jumbo pin that I was lucky enough to purchase on my trip last summer. My travel companions and I befriended the bartender at the Tambu Lounge over several nights of drinks and he was SO generous in offering to take us to the "cast member discount warehouse" back behind the Magic Kingdom to do some bargain souvenir shopping on his day off. After wandering around for a bit I came upon the pin in a display case! I couldn't believe it! I thought I'd never get that pin since it's in such high demand and the eBay asking prices were so outrageous! It was the most magical pin moment I have had yet and one of the most magical moments I've ever had at Disney. Hugs to all the cast members out there who help make even the littlest dreams come true every day and extra special thanks to the greatest bartender the Poly will ever have for his kind heart and thoughtful generosity! If you won the lottery today, how would you spend it? Pay off my car and current student debt, set some aside for grad school tuition, treat my family to something special, join the DVC, buy an annual WDW pass and try to get my hands on all things Figment I couldn't afford before! Because I easily get addicted to stuff, and the fact that I have to hunt for the cast lanyards and Hidden Mickeys just makes it more exciting. It's hard though to stay away from Ebay when I know I can get lots from there so easily. But I have decided to not "cheat" What is you favorite magical moments dealing with pins and/or pin trading? Realizing that DLRP also had their own cast lanyard series, after my sister traded for a pin she liked (Pin # 51052). Just bummed that that was right before I left the park, and I had seen many other of the DLRP series during my stay. What is your favorite pin? Pin # 41313 - Donald Duck - Crabby... Yet Lovable! If you won the lottery today, how would you spend it? Travel and pay down my student debt. What is one thing that you have always wanted to do but have yet to do it? Travel to Bora Bora.
