the villains puzzle set i think it's new does anyone
know what they look like  or have a clue
they sound cool though they will be both male and female villains!

A lot of discussions have ensued about these sets through the years, and in previously checking with the Pin Trading Team at DLR, this set was never released
and it is believed that these are unauthorized pins.

Nothing about them on odpt.com. The newly listed pins should probably be switched to unauthorized until it's clarified. Were the prototypes officially
produced (as listed on Pinpics) or should they be unauthorized as well?

Looking at the new pics on Pinpics these definitely look like bootlegs. Colors are wrong and lines are sloppy.

I actually added these pins, I have had them in my collection for about 3-4 years.
I have scanned pictures (the colors are actually the exact as the other set - I am just NOT a photographer!) they are here along with the backstamp. http://s276.photobucket.com/albums/kk12/csojka/Puzzle%20sets/ If you open them full size you will see the level of detail is very crisp and colors true. I think my greatest confusion is that the some of these series have been purchased from the premier character store in Orlando - so if Disney has sold some of them why are they 'unauthorized'? And since I really don't know the answer to this question - is unauthorized the same as bootleg? |

If I was to guess I'd say these are bootleg. The artwork is TERRIBLE! Look at Maleficent's lips! There's a serious lack of detail, many of the
colors are not just off they're entirely wrong (Hades hair). The line work looks like a bad tracing or over photocopied piece. I know I don't want
them.

I doubt they're real; Pete with a cigar and with guns is different from his new "PC" image and I doubt Disney would create anything that reverts
him back to his pre-Goof Troop self. Also, the font in the central pin is off.
