Ahhh...the magic of Target!!!
(No, really. I live at Target.) But, can you tell us what Super Targets in Orlando sell pins? I'd love to stop by and pick up a few traders!

The only one I have found them at is the one at the intersection of 192 and 535 (I think that is the write number).

Target Disney pin suggestions | ||
|
I jumped to the end of the thread, so apologies if my suggestions have already been made.
In keeping with the demographics of Target stores, I would suggest a few themes consistent with 18-34 year old shoppers: 1. Early Black and White TV series: I am picturing Shows like I Love Lucy with Disney characters in some memorable scenes. Picture Ariel dressed up in an apron standing at the end of chocolate candy conveyor belt stuffing candy in her pockets and mouth while Triton watches in the same apron... also Leave it to Beaver, Ozzie and Harriet, Father knows best, etc. 2. Same theme but in color, with shows from the 60's: The Addams Family (can you say Nightmare before Christmas?) The Munsters, Andy Griffith Show (I can see Stitch in overalls carrying a fishing pole holding Mickey's hand dressed like Andy), Gilligan's Island, Green Acres, I Dream of Jeannie... the characters just jump out at you and would be amazing to collect! 3. Same theme but in color with shows from the 70's: Brady Bunch, Starsky and Hutch, Partridge Family, Happy Days, CHiPS. Can't you see Chip n Dale on Motorcycles and sunglasses like Ponch? 4. Same theme, but in color and hit shows from the 80's: Dukes of Hazard, The Love Boat, Miami Vice, Three's Company... I can see Donald and Mickey in a charged up Plymouth hanging their heads out the window as the car is flying thru the air... 5. Same theme, of course, but shows from the 90's: Beverly Hills 90210, Home Improvement, Friends, Seinfeld! Can you picture Roger Rabbit sitting on a sofa, sipping a cup of coffee with his Friends Joey (Stitch), Rachel (Jessica Rabbit), Ross (Donald Duck) and Minnie Mouse as Monica? There are tons of shows that can used, and the nostalgia that brings memories to mind is exactly what will drive the purchase of these pins. Everyone loves Disney, but being able to connect a time in your life that was fun and carefree and reminds us fondly of times gone by will make this type of pin series very popular. Naturally, I would only expect one of each pin from this idea in exchange for giving the idea to Disney! What a great deal! |

Dogs and Cats | ||

I'd love to see a series of Disney dogs and cats pins - which would appear not only to Disney people, but to pet lovers everywhere.
One request - please do not do a Stitch pin in either the hands up or nose-picking pose. I am so tired of them. I'd also like to see Daisy and her nieces and.or Donald and his nephews, in those classic Disney comics types of situations. |

Dear Disney Buyer - welcome to our pin trading community - I've been a loyal member since 2002 - We appreciate this opportunity to weigh in on your
stocking considerations. I'd like to suggest pins which are priced reasonably and a website which offers fair trades as well as limited per-person
purchases.
Regarding designs - I have a ton of ideas, but would like to start simple with a tie-in to your store....Of course your company logo is unique and recent television ads are so creatively innovative I keep them on! So here goes - two kick off ideas 1) Launch the franchise with a commemorative circle shaped red/white target background and use characters who are desirable but yet to saturate the pin market such as - Figaro, Geppetto's adorable black and white kitten..Or a more contemporary figure like Boo - from Monster's Inc. The idea is to brand the pins with someone small but compelling. 2) Start off with pins that celebrate events and pair them up with a card which doubles as a greeting card...-EXAMPLE: Graduation time - from every grade! So grandma will buy little David a "congratulations for being promoted from 2nd to 3rd grade!!!!!!!! and inside a cool card is a spinner pin with Stitch holding all 4 thumbs in the air - You'll find collectors do focus on specific characters (mine are Jiminy Cricket, Narnia and Fantasia) but I'm always on the lookout for that one pin which beautifully captures a movie premiere, new theme park ride, or Walt Disney's 100th birthday! So don't hesitate to contact me with questions and I'm sure our enthusiastic group will guide you the best we can! Best of luck! PinPal Val |
