I kinda want to see if it is actually possible. And if you are someone who gets bored of the parks, then just maybe someone on these boards cant help you find a cure for getting bored.

Bored of Disneyland??? |

This question is for all the AP holders of Disneyland (and WDW too), who live right by these parks. Do you (lucky) people ever get bored or tired of the
parks? I personally cannot see how that would be possible. I can't imagine myself getting bored. I would go everyday if i could.

I was an AP at WDW for 15 years and I never got bored. They were the best years of my life(except for standing in line). The
first year I went to the Parks over 300 times.

I don't believe true Disney fans would ever get bored of the parks, no matter how close they lived to it!

I live 20 min from the park. I like to go to the park once a week and all I do is walk the park for an hour or two then go home. I have never gotton bored.

Oddly enough, when I'm in DL I get bored of it...but as soon as I'm too far away to go...I wanna go back.
WDW, it's impossible for me to get bored...especially if my sisters are anywhere near me...or my brothers are around to embarass.

Although I do find myself spending less time at the park once I'm already there. By no means am I bored, I just know that I don't have to make a full
day out of it because I know I'll be back in a week or so anyways.
Now ask me this question when I'm out of CM lanyard traders. Not so much am I bored, but bummed. I tend to keep my eyes off the lanyards as much as possible on these days, but my eyes tend to wander as I pass them by. It's excruciating to see that new HM pin on a lanyard and know you don't have anything to trade for it, lol.

Nope, not ever. I've been going to WDW ever since it opened and been an APer forever. Can't even imagine life without WDW.

Having lived in Central Florida most of my life, I have seen WDW open (1971), grow and expand. First the Magic Kingdom, then Epcot (our favorite), followed by Disney Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM) and lastly the Animal Kingdom. In addition to having four amazing parks to choose from, there are special events going throughout the year: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, Star Wars and Super Soap Weekends, Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival, Food and Wine, and many more...who could get bored? And if you want the flavor of Disney, without the hustle and bustle of the parks, there's Downtown Disney and Marketplace for plenty of Disney shopping, dining and fun! Our only wish is that we lived a little closer, so we could go more often! With the price of gas, that 1.5 hour, 99 mile drive is getting expensive! All this talk makes us ready to go again! |

DizSibs wrote: Same here. Shorter trips, and usually with some kind of pin agenda.
DizSibs wrote:Now I know why I never see anything good on a cast lanyard; it's because I always have my traders with me. With a pass, much less of my time is spent on rides, because if the wait lines are bad, I'd rather do it another time. Since certain lines are frequently long, this means I rarely get tired of those rides! It is wonderful to just walk through the park and enjoy the atmosphere. I especially love eating anywhere with a view of Main Street or the Rivers of
America.

Oddly enough, when I'm in DL I get bored of it...but as soon as I'm too far away to go...I wanna go back.Sometimes I'm like that too. A few weeks ago, I went after not having been able to go for a couple of months (in the process of moving). The day I went, it was a weekday, I hit it on a day it was uncrowded, got on a lot of rides, did some pin trading with CMs and had a fantastic time. I went a week later, after a few hours, all of a sudden I thought, "I've had enough." Luckily it was close enough to the time I was planning to leave for the day anyway (and meet up with the fiance for dinner after he got off work). But then I got home and I was already thinking, when can I go back again...? If I was not a pin trader (perish the thought!) and had an AP, I'd probably go a lot less often (and wouldn't bother getting the Premium AP); since I am a pin trader, I feel I have more of a variety of reasons to visit the parks. I can focus just on pin trading, focus just on rides (although I always have trader pins with me), or do a little of both. Focusing just on pin trading with CMs is nice, since we "regulars" know a lot of the CMs and vice-versa, fun to walk around, find the ones you know, chat with them a bit, then stroll around some more. More relaxing than a "go for the rides day." Then again, since I have the AP, if I don't get on every ride in one day it's not any pressure, I know I'm coming back and will catch the ones I didn't get on the last time... Hannette |
