Disney's Enchanted did you catch this Refrence? - Possible Spoilers |
Lead | |
|
On the Enchanted DVD on Bonus feature they have a segment where they show how certain scenes in the movie are straight out of Disney cartoons. Like when
Giselle is animated and you see her brushing her hair that's from The Little Mermaid when Ariel's brushing her hair. When Giselle is scrubbing the
bathroom floor you see the soap bubbles that's from Cinderella. There's one reference they didn't catch. When Prince Edward reunites with Giselle
he says, "Your not singing." Giselle says, "Oh, I guess I'm not I was just thinking." "Thinking?" questions Edward It
reminded me of that scene in Beauty and the Beast between Belle and Gaston. You know where he looks at her book and says, "it's not right for a woman
to read first she starts getting ideas and Thinking."

And Prince Edward stays at the "Grand Duke" hotel (Grand Duke from Cinderella), Mc Dreamy and Giselle go to the Bella Notte Restuarant (Lady and the
Tramp)...Singing for the animals to come (Snow White)...cleaning the house (again Snow White)...and of course, Giselle loosing her shoe (Cinderella)..Lots and
lots of them. I'm sure you could watch the movie over and over, and spot new ones everytime.

The first six notes of "Beauty and the Beast" are used frequently in the music of the film. If you listen carefully when the train goes by, you can
hear the calypso beat of "Under the Sea" (bum-bum-ba-bum-bum-bum-bum-BUM-bum).
And in case you didn't notice, the song "Amore" played in the restaurant is sung by James Marsden. (Yes, he can actually sing.) ![]() Vicci vicciv on dizpins and pinpics -- "If you can dream it, you can do it." - Walt Disney |

It gets better than that, Tammi ... if you look closely during that scene, you'll spot Jodi Benson. And, I believe during the ball scene, if you look
closely, you'll spot Paige O'Hara.

Jodi Benson, who plays McDreamy's assistant in 'chanted (as Matt calls it), was the voice of a famous animated Disney character! As for Paige
O'hara (what a Beauty) she'll always be Fantine from Les Miz to me...
