NEW SHIPPING/TRACKING INFORMATION:
Posted by Nanfitz on 07/23/09: If the link in your shipping confirmation e-mail takes you to a page that has 'UPS Mail Innovations' in the upper right hand corner - and - the page tells you it has no information about your tracking number, then go to this page and http://www.ups-mi.net/packageID/default.aspx and append these four digits... 9102 ... on front of the tracking number listed in your DS e-mail. You should be able to retrieve tangible tracking info on this revised number. The above is what a very helpful DS CM (located in the USA) told me to do when I called them to see why the tracking DS e-mailed me seemed to be an invalid one. The CM told be those 4 digits would apply to other shipments belonging to other people too. From the details in my own tracking info that I am now able to see, UPS picked up the package from DS and shipped it to various UPS Regional Processing Facilities (RPF) until it gets to the one in my area. And at that point they will give the package to the USPS which will be the ones who will then bring it to me. Based on the dates in the tracking info it looks like the transit time between the RPFs is a lot faster than UPS Ground shipping was. This suggests that the farther you are away from DS's SC shipping point, the greater an improvement you may see in the amount of time it now takes for the shipments to reach you.
