Is there a post that will help me understand all of the acronyms? DD, DW, etc.? I'm confused (well, actually, I'm always a little confused, but this is a specific confusion!)

1) Welcome to dizpins 2) There was, I just don't know where it went. In the meantime: DD- Dear Daughter; DH- Dear Husband; DS- Dear son, or Disney Store (depends on context); DS.com - Disneyshopping.com; WDW- Disney World; DLR - Disneyland Resort; LE- Limited Edition; AP - Artist Proof or Annual Passholder That's a start of them anyway, and I think the most used. If you need any more clarified, just post 'em here, and someone will answer you. |

 Well...I seem to remember that there have been threads that address your question in the past, but I can't seem to find it (or them).  SO, I would be very happy to start a thread, and name a few, and others can add to the list. Then, once we get it going, I will sticky it to the top. There are a lots of people that feel the same way. It's hard to learn the lingo when you are starting!  Can I ask you to retitle your Subject thread to address this question more directly, so that when I sticky the thread, it will make more sense to new readers. Something like, "What do all those letters mean?" or "What is POH, DL, etc. mean?". Whatever you would like! At some point down the road, I will take them and alphabetize them and make them easier to find. Now...on to a few: DLR Disneyland Resort WDW Walt Disney World DW Disney World POH Piece of History (pin) DLP Disneyland Paris HM Haunted Mansion POC Pirates of the Carribean HG Holy Grail (Your one, fantastic, dream pin) Ok, Ohana...Your turn! I've looked thru that FAQ list three times, and can't find any reference to meanings of frequently used pin trader abbreviations. Am I missing something? Darla, I'm going to go ahead and change the title of your thread, so people will add to the list of abbreviations. Right now, it's a bit too generic. Thanks gang! Best wishes, Carol in Indy

Well... um, it gives all the "official" terms. But it seems to miss the family ties, DD, etc.

I know that I referred to that link a lot when I was starting out! Especially when I'd read a post like:'I was @ DLR and went to DTD to PT to see if there was a COAT, but there wasn't so I hit PT Flea's at DCA instead and found a CM who I traded for a cls and an LE and one was my HG! If you go to the dizpins homepage and click the dizPINdex button at the top, it lists all the abbreviations and lots of definitions as well...as a newbie, it has helped me tremendously...
