Hi,
At the request of some of my fellow chat pack members I have decided to start an "Add a Character" thread. The idea is that everyone here on Dizpins probably has great character pictures from the Disney resorts around the world, many that we have not seen in a while. So this is your chance to share with your fellow Dizpins friends your great character pictures.
Basic rules

1. One photo per post. There can be more than one character in the picture, but I do not want 4 or 5 pictures in each post. If that happens I will only count the first picture in the post.
2. You can only post the same character if it is in a different costume. EX: YOAMD Mickey VS Sorcerer Mickey.
3. You can only post again after someone else has posted.
4. Only post your own pictures. Do not steal someone else's pictures from the web.
5. Post the character name, were you saw them, and anything else you think would help classify (i.e. show or parade you saw them in)
The basic rules are here to help get more people involved. That way any one person cannot overwhelm the thread.
What is a character?

For the purpose of this thread we are talking about characters seen at the Disney Resorts around the world. Post pictures of characters from movies, TV shows, and attractions. This means characters like Mickey Mouse, Stitch, Alice, Kim Possible, and the Country Bears are ok. Characters like the Mayor of Disneyland, the Marching Band, or CMs are not included. Characters from attractions are ok, as long as they are costumed people. For example a picture of the animatronic Hitchhiking Ghosts from the Haunted Mansion should not be posted. However, if you have a picture of walk-around versions of them, that is ok. Animatronic characters are ok, as long as that is the only version of them. For example, the Meet and Greet for Lightning McQueen is an animatronic. That is ok to post. If you are to post a picture of Sebastian the Crab, it should be the costume version, not the animatronic from the Parade of Dreams. I am not trying to minimize the hard work to make or greatness of these characters, but I am trying to simplify for The List.
The List

Once we get a few pages into the thread I will start making a list of which characters are already in the thread and where you can see them. I will list the character, the costume version and the post number in which the picture appears. I will only list the first appearance of the character in the thread. Now some characters have many, many costumes, like Mickey. I will list all the different versions of the characters. So I would list Mickey, and have separate entries for different costumes, like Sorcerer's Apprentice or Japanese Kimono. Costumes with very slight differences can be posted, but if I don't think it is different enough I won't put it in the list. For example, Ariel in Mermaid form has a bare skin version and another with sleeves for cold days. I will only list it once. You can post old versions of costumes, like the original Minnie costume, but it won't be on the list. The rules might seem strict or silly, but they will help a lot in the long run, especially with the list. Trust me, I have been involved with threads like these in the past. They get chaotic fast.

FAQ.

1. Can I be in the picture? Yes! We'd love to see you too.

2. Are Star Wars characters ok? Sure, they may not be Disney owned, but they are in the parks. Indy too.
3. Do statues of characters count? Ideally each character would have a walk around equivalent. Some unfortunately do not. Examples would be Nemo or Mater. Instead they have animatronic, statuesque versions that do move around and interact. So if the statue can move by itself toanother location (Ie not on the back of a truck) then it may count. A static statue does not.
