Disney Presents The Lion King on Broadway |

Last night, as an early Mother's Day present, I took my beautiful DW to see The Lion King at the TBPAC in Tampa, FL. Talk about an AMAZING production!!! Outstanding costuming, puppetry, acting, singing, staging and seats...let's not forget the seats.
I purchased these tix last July. We were center stage, three rows from the orchestra pit!! This was actually the second time I saw the production. The first
time was about 10 years ago, but this performance was spectacular. Strong, moving, emotional and funny. Unbelievable!! Has anyone else experienced the power
of the Lion King on Broadway?

My wife and I are broadway junkies and Lion King is right there on our all time tops. Everything about that show is just amazing. I hope it makes another round
out west

I live close enough to NYC to get in there for plays and such, however, I've not seen The Lion King yet. I'dlike to see The Little Mermaid and Mary
Poppins. I did, however, just receive my ticket for Equus for a preview performance. As a Harry Potter fan and a Daniel Radcliffe fan I can't wait to see
him on the stage. Hopefully I can get there early and see about waiting to see him when he arrives. I have an Equus poster that's just crying for his
signature.

The Lion King is a MUST SEE. If Disney/Broadway ever decides to resurrect Beauty and the Beast...be sure to catch that one too! |

Caught it out at Pantages Theater in Los Angeles in 2000. Breathtaking doesn't even cover it. It's something I'll never forget and I'll say
it's the absolute best stage show I've ever seen.
Saw half of it at the TBPAC (Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center) the last time it was here in Tampa and was disappointed they had resold the seats I had originally purchased to someone else (I received a letter stating they had closed the seats I purchased). When I produced the original tickets at the show(I was sent a letter telling me to send them back when they sent me new seats), the look on their face was priceless. Needless to say I was NOT a happy camper to be given lesser seats that what I had originally paid for. The show/and actors were not of the same caliber as I had seen in LA, so I left at intermission. I was sent a early ticket purchase flyer for this years show, and passed. I'd rather fly to NYC and see it. Or if it returns to Panatages, I'll see it there again.

Beauty & The Beast was simply breathtaking! I saw it the day it opened on Broadway for it's Preview and coudln't believe my eyes and ears!
Aside from the fact that I've always adored Terrence Mann (The Original Beast) the sets and musical numbers were just simply wonderful. I'd gone back to see it several times, always with it's original company. I have a fantastic showcard framed in my hallway that's been signed by the cast. It's one of my favorite things. Perhaps one day I'll get to see The Lion King. I wasn't a huge fan of the film, although I love the soundtrack, so I suppose that's what's keeping me from the theater. I hear the opening sequence is worth the price of admission alone! Maybe in the fall.... ~* Noreen*~

WE took my dd for her 6th birthday in March, and she was captivated by the whole thing. I loved all the technical aspects of the show. I loved how they did the
stampede, and all the puppetry.
