I really have no idea why those are going for so much, to me they are blah...no offence to anyone who has/wants those. But really, for $200-$500 it should be an amazing looking, really limited pin, which these ones are not. Well, perhaps its just like the Masterpiece pins craze from a month ago. They weren't on the market for a long time, and there was a small handful of collectors who really wanted them so hence a huge bidding war, and now I see ones that recently sold, go for well under those crazy prices. It pays to wait because you know when a pin sells for a ton, there is always going to be someone else right behind them who will try to cash in and will be disappointed when they don't get anywhere near what the first person got or no bids at all if the starting price is anywhere close to what the first one ended for. Thats the nature of bidding wars. The person who did not win the bidding war is probably actually really relieved that they didn't win
