Don't try to do it all in one cruise. Enjoy and take it slow. Can't wait until our next one.

Start out with a 3 or 4 day cruise. If you can afford the 4 day, you won't feel quite as rushed, and will be able to enjoy a meal at Palo's, the adult
dining location. If you want the best price, book way in advance, or if you are a Florida resident and can travel at the last minute, Disney sells remaining
cabins at a discount 2 weeks or so before departure. If you're travelling with kids, be sure to take them to tour the kids' facilities on Deck 5 before
departure. Even shy kids will enjoy taking part in all the activities. Don't miss the sail away party when leaving port on your first day - get yourself to
Deck 9 to participate or Deck 10 to observe. Read your cruise newletter when you receive it the night before to plan out the next day's activities. Keep
track of your onboard spending with visits to Guest Services - there's nothing worse than getting that big bill the night before you return to port - it
can really ruin your vacation.

It's the best, there are times of the year that are less expensive than others. Usually you can think of a school calendar for the peak and value
times. Yes, they have different promotions at DCL and once you have travelled with them, you will be part of the Castaway Club for the next time Once you pay your final payment you can go to the disneycruiseline.com and go to the mydisneycruise icon and fill in all your information and you can even try and book your Palo's or Spa or Shore Excursions prior to your trip. Usually this is 75 days prior to sailing for a first time cruiser. Once you are a Castaway Club Member one on the incentives is that once you pay your next cruise in full they will allow you to go into the site 90 days prior. "IF" you ever book the Cat. 1, 2 or 3 which are the suites, then they allow you 105 days prior to the sailing There is pin trading onboard at different times and sometimes you are lucky enough to have other traders onboard and can make a meeting area and trade!!!! Go for it Dana dizneyusa

DW & I have taken ~25 cruises, including a 7-nt on the Disney Magic & 2 3-nt cruises on the Disney Wonder. Before DCL started to cruise, Princess & Royal Caribbean were our favorite cruise lines. We still think Prncs & Rccl are fun, but we like cruising with Disney the most. Activities & entertainment are terrific on all cruise ships, but they're truly fantastic on DCL. We especially enjoy the pirates nights, fireworks nights & taking pictures with Mickey, Minnie & all the Characters. We've visited all the private islands operated by major cruise lines. DCL's Castaway Cay is by far the best private island experience in the Bahamas (& Haiti, too - 'Hispaniola' is the name Rccl uses to avoid mentioning 'Haiti' in their cruise brochures & web pages). DCL ships actually dock at Castaway Cay; passengers can walk off & on the ship whenever they like. Visiting any other private island requires lining up to get on a tender (lifeboat used as a small ferry between the ship & private island), then lining up again later to board another tender that takes you back to the ship. Please post again if you have more specific questions about DCL or cruising in general. Good luck! Mickey States
