practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming to such an extent that its cessation causes severe trauma.

I've heard people say more than a few times that they feel addicted or obsessed with pins. Is this actually possible? I know there are gambling addicts,
but is anyone a true pin addict? Has anyone heard of anyone going into extreme debt or having family troubles like other types of addicts do?

Collecting anything can lead to addiction. Simply put, when you find you enjoy something so much, you begin to want to acquire more of it because you enjoy
Agree that pin collecting and trading is attractive to those with a tendency towards OCD, me included. And, with the advent of the internet age, including
pinpics and ebay, it's possible for those of us not living near a park to engage regularly. It's relaxing to look through pins, rearrange them and look
through data bases and fellow-pin traders wants/trades to find new things that are attractive.

We went nuts about 6 yrs ago on pins and stopped abruptly when planning for the twins.

My hubby is just as obessed with pins as I am which makes it even scarier and harder to control.

there's simply too many pins to keep purchasing. I've tried to narrow my scope drastically and only collect pins within a theme (i.e. Nightmare B4
Christmas, Pirates) with few exceptions. From that point, I try to collect sets of 5-6 pins within that theme (Pirate coins, NBC tombstones). So far its been
