Yeah I gotta agree with Gary... if the jumbo (which sold out btw) is retailed at $30, the 2 DS pins may not cut it.
If you're trading 2 of your pins, I think it has to be pins that are harder to find.

You also have to factor in shipping. The Jumbo will not be cheap to ship (compared to 2 smaller pins inside a small bubbled envlope)

I wouldnt trade an LE500 $30 Jumbo I paid full price for, for less than 3 DS pins.

I have both of those pins so I would not have accepted it, but most of the offers I get are offering a Hidden Mickey and wanting a DA LE100, with a note saying they will offer mutliples, but most of the time the other pins are more Hidden Mickeys. When I get home this evening I can look and see if I have an extra of that pin and maybe we can work something out. I collect holiday pins so I may have two of that one.

Most of the trade requests I get are either way out of line or offering a pin that I already have. The second is totally my fault because I have not updated my pinpics account. But you may be running into somebody who is as slack as I am with it too.

The standard response to 90% of PinPics offers is none at all.

Also, make sure you're not sending a repeat offer to the same person - if they haven't answered the first time, they're not gonna answer the ninth. LOL

Halloween pins are traditionally difficult to trade for-- I *just* got the Jessica myself, and I've been collecting her for a while now. It's not so much that the pins that you're offering are a bad trade...it's just that people cling to those Halloween pins pretty tightly.

Just keep offering different traders occasionally, and eventually, someone will respond. Or perhaps you'll get lucky on the trade/sale boards or eBay.

Yeah, I have been a trader for over three years now and feel that it can sometimes even be considered useless to someone who trades in the park to also trade online. As a person who usually goes to Disneyland at least three times a month I do not make that many trades online and have seen this pin before at pin trading night.

I don't think it's because you're a newbie. The Ohana tend to be pretty nice people, all in all. And if I receive an offer (or make an offer) to someone with no references, I will suggest a 3rd party trade. I've had 2 of them and everything's gone off without a hitch. Feel free to suggest one yourself; no one will be offended, I'm sure, and the moderators are a great help. Another thing to keep in mind is that, sometimes, these things just happen in waves. It may be you are offering the wrong pin. Its hard to say unless we know what pins you attempted to offer, and it also depends on the person receiving the offer.

Take a look at this link. Maybe it can give you an insite on what to offer.

Hey Guys!
I have been trying, ardently, since February, to trade for Pin #57588, DLR Halloween 2007. And the standard response is -- "I'll pass" or none at all. Is it because I'm a newbie (not enough references) or am I making the wrong offers? FYI: still new to "trading realm" -- so, yes -- "dumb as a stump" may apply
