It would be the 1st time cruise lines have had duplicate names....both Carnival and Royal Caribbean have Liberty and Freedom

(Wow, that first post sounded a little condescending... sorry about that. My family likes cruising and between the family reunions and DVC points, we've only been on cruises or to Disney Resorts for the last 7 years.)

Carnival can't be beat when it comes to price or location, but the teen programs are really lacking (actually on one cruise they ended up grouping us up with the preteens... arrg). I've also heard horror stories about maiden voyage... and yet my mother...

You're correct, Drew. There are cruise ships with those names on the high seas already.

While not the cruiser you are, I've been on a few, and while Carnival is my cruise line of choice (price and ports).

I was a Maiden Voyager on Disney's Magic. I've not been back on their line (that maiden voyage was really a mess) and don't see it happening until a long time from now (I've not gotten the guts to try them again...too many bad experiences),...

If my memory serves me correctly, there already is a Norwegian Dream and Carnival Celebration... I doubt Disney would choose either of those names and risk subliminal association with either of those (speaking out of my 13 cruise experience) inferior brands. (I've been on two horrific Carnival, one bland Norwegian, and I've had a great time with four Disney Cruises. Celebrity wasn't bad if you can get past the average age of 69 on the Spring Break Cruise (despite 200 teenagers) I...

A while back when the construction of 2 new ships were announced we had a thread going on about what 2 new ship names people wanted to see or thought would happen.
While there has NOT been an OFFICIAL announcement, I read on screamscape.com that there was some art work that showed the two ships and that you could see the names.
I have not seen the art work they are talking about. But IF it turns out to be correct then the 2 ships will be
