Hi everyone! I first started pin trading when my family and I went to Disney World this past October. We bought a few pins before we went to try it out, and my four year old daughter and I really enjoyed trading. My daughter loved going from cast member to cast member looking at their pins. My son and I are pretty new to this (we were bitten by the bug in January on our trip to Disney World) and were curious as to how and where the special pins could be found (ones that aren't sold in the parks). I've been trading pins since Dec 1999 and it's now an obsession! You can usually find me at Contemporary Pin Trading nights. I try to wear a ball cap that has Donald Duck on in. While I love the duck, I have to say I am a bigger Chip n' Dale fan. In addition, I'm also a big Muppets fan!

Question about a misprint pin

Hi, I've been collecting Disney pins for about two years now. I was at WDW last weekend and purchased two of the Polynesian resort pins. When I got home from my trip, I found that one of them was a misprint. This is a two piece pin, and the piece with the lettering is upside down. Does anyone collect misprints? I have no desire to collect misprints so I want to find a good home for this pin, otherwise next time I'm at WDW (later this month) I'll return it. Any ideas?

1. What kind of pin trading activites will there be? Since I do not have many pins will I included in the activities.

2. What kind of pin games could they have?

3. What do they sell in the event store? I thought the RSvP was all the mechandise.

4. Will there people to trade with since I do not have many pins and they are not old?

Packed up the kidlets, wife and friend, and made our first journey to disneyworld 2 weeks ago. Went to DTD and saw some pin things, ok, whatever those are... a day later, wow! some of these pin things are cool... next thing the whole fam is buying up pins and trading them around with cast members... omg sooo cool! and addicting, in fact we stayed an extra day just to make sure the kids both completed two of their collections that were both missing 1 pin a piece!

Good day all!! I recently had the chance to visit Disneyland and had no idea about this whole craze until I got there. I purchased a lanyard and 6 pins, a Nightmare Before Christmas 2box (secret?) pack and also a package of Finding Nemo pins. I went to the first Cast Member I could fine with pins and immediately started trading. She gaves me the rules and such and I was off. She also gave me an extra freebie to get me on my way.
